Asset Reconstruction IPO

Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Limited, incorporated in February 2002, is a company that helps banks and financial institutions recover money from bad or stressed loans. It buys these troubled loans from banks and other financial institutions and then tries to recover the money through methods such as restructuring, settlement, legal action, enforcement of assets, and collections. The company received approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in August 2003 to start its asset reconstruction business and is recognised as the first Asset Reconstruction Company (ARC) incorporated in India.
